Sourdough starter:
1 package active dry yeast
2 cups lukewarm water
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon dark molasses

1 cup sourdough starter
1/2 cup low fat buttermilk
1 cup dark molasses
2 tablespoons sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups graham flour
2 cups sifted all purpose flour

Sourdough starter: Combine all ingredients in a glass jar.  Stir with a wooden spoon (not metal). Leave uncovered for 4 to 7 days at 80 degree temperature.  Stir down each day and whenever a crust forms. When the starter begins to bubble or emit a sour odor it is ready for use or storage in the refrigerator.  In a large bowl stir sourdough ingredients, one at a time, into sourdough starter in the order listed.  Spray a 9" x 5" bread pan with non-stick oil.  Pour batter into pan and let rise until doubled in bulk.  Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour or until bread sounds hollow when tapped. Makes a 9" x 5" loaf.
