3 cups milk
4 egg yolks, beaten to blend
2/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup cornstarch
1, 8 ounce package cream cheese, cut into chunks
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, room temperature
2 tablespoons sugar
2 large bananas, peeled and sliced
1 cup shredded coconut, toasted

Combine the first 4 ingredients in a heavy medium saucepan over medium heat.  Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.  Add cream cheese and stir until melted.  Mix in vanilla. Remove from heat.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine flour, walnuts, butter and sugar in bowl of electric mixer and beat at medium speed until dough forms.  Press into 9 inch round tart pan with removable sides.  Bake until golden about 25 minutes.  Place bananas in crust. Top with custard. Sprinkle with coconut. Chill at least 1 hour. Serves 6 to 8.
