Thoroughly Modern Millie Opened April 18th 2002
Marquis Theatre, 1535 Broadway between 45th & 46th St; 212-307-4100; $60-$100; Tue 7 PM Wed-Sat 8 PM; Sat 2 PM; Sun 3 PM; 2 Hours 30 Minutes; One Intermission; The inspiration for this new musical was the 1967 musical film of the same name. It takes place in 1922 during the expansion of women's liberties and freedom. Lead role: Sutton Foster. The book was written by Richard Morris, "The Unsinkable Molly Brown". Direction by Michael Mayer; New Music: Jeanine Tesori; New Lyrics: Dick Scanlan. Choreography by Rob Ashford; Sutton Foster is "Millie". Featuring Sheryl Lee Ralph, Harriett Harris, Marc Kudisch, Gavin Creel, Angela Christian, Ken Leung, Francis Jue and Anne L. Nathan. Its World Premiere was in San Diego at La Jolla Playhouse on October 15th 2000.

Twentieth Century Opened March 25th-June 6th 2004.
American Airlines Theatre, 227 West 42nd Street between Broadway and 8th Avenue; Tickets, Call 212-719-1300; Tue-Sat 8 PM; Wed, Sat, Sun 2 PM; Roundabout Theatre Company, Artistic Director Todd Haimes, presents a new Broadway production. "Twentieth Century" is a new adaptation by Ken Ludwig of Ben Hecht and Charles MacArthur's comedy. "Twentieth Century" is the funny story of Oscar Jaffe played by
Alec Baldwin, a successful Broadway producer who has transformed a chorus girl, Lily Garland played by Anne Heche, into a star. As she rises to Hollywood, he downturns into bankruptcy. Oscar boards the Twentieth Century Limited train and bumps into her again, where he tries to convince her to return for another show. With Tom Aldredge, Terry Beaver, Patrick Boll, Teagle F. Bougere, Dan Butler, Stephen DeRosa, Julie Halston, Kellie Overbey, Ryan Shively, and Jonathan Walker.  Settings: John Lee Beatty; Costumes: William Ivey Long; Lighting: Peter Kaczorowski; Sound by Acme Sound Partners; Originally opened December 29th 1932 at the Broadhurst Theatre.

Wicked Opened October 30th 2003
Gershwin Theatre, 222 West 51st Street between Broadway and 8th Avenue. $40-$100; 212-307-4100. Tue 7 PM; Wed-Sat 8 PM; Wed & Sat 2 PM; Sun 3 PM; A new musical based on the novel by Gregory Maguire. The true story of the "Wicked Witch of the West" takes place in the "Land of Oz". Music and Lyrics: Stephen Schwartz; Director: Joe Mantello; Choreographer: Wayne Cilento; Starring: Kristen Chenoweth, Idina Menzel, and Joel Grey as the "The Wizard". Musical Director: Stephen Oremus; Orchestra: William David Brohn; Book: Winnie Holzman; Settings: Eugene Lee; Costumes: Susan Hilferty; Lighting: Kenneth Posner; Sound: Tony Meola.

Wonderful Town Opened November 23rd
Al Hirschfeld Theatre, Tickets 302 West 45th Street between 8th and 9th Avenue. $51-$96; Tue-Sat 8 PM; Wed, Sat 2 PM; Sun 3 PM; A new production of the musical "Wonderful Town". Book by Joseph Fields and Jerome Chodorov. Music by Leonard Bernstein. Lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green. Director and Choreographer: Kathleen Marshall; With Donna Murphy as "Ruth". "Wonderful Town" originally opened at the Winter Garden Theatre on February 25th 1953 under the direction of George Abbott. The score includes "Ohio", "One Hundred Easy Ways", "A Quiet Girl", "It's Love", and "The Wrong Note Rag".
