Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Thursday November 11th 2004
"Who's there?" Tiffany called out as she heard a forceful knock on the front door of her Bleecker Street apartment.
"It's me Vinny."
"Vinny? What are you doing here?" Tiffany asked as she opened the door to her apartment.
"I hope I didn't disturb you," Mafia Vinny said.
"No. I was just getting ready for bed."
"You mind if I come in a minute," Vinny asked.
"Vinny it's been a long day. I really want to get to bed," she said hoping he wouldn't see how much she disliked him.
"It won't take but a minute," he said putting one foot inside the door.
"Okay," she said as he walked into the apartment and she closed the door.
"What's up?" she asked walking to the sofa and taking a seat.
"Is Deanna here?" he asked.
"Deanna? You mean my new roommate?" she asked referring to the topless dancer that her ex-husband Skeeter rented the spare bedroom to while she was in Georgia.
"Yeah. Deanna," he said as the bedroom door opened and Deanna walked out.
"Hi there Vinny," Deanna said walking into the living room in her sheer nightgown.
"Hi their Deanna... Hi," he said watching as she walked towards the kitchen.
"Deanna, Vinny came over to see you," Tiffany said getting up from the sofa and walking towards her bedroom.
"Me? You came over to see me Vinny?"
"Yeah. I was hoping maybe the twos of us could get to know each other," Vinny said in his thick Brooklyn accent.
"Well, I was getting ready to go to bed," Deanna said.
"I can come back another time," he said starting to get up.
"No, no. Look I have a bottle of wine in the refrigerator. Would you like a drink?" Deanna asked.
"Yeah, that would be great," he said watching her walk into the kitchen.
"Thanks there Tiffany," he whispered.
"Good night Vinny," Tiffany said walking into her bedroom. She pulled the bedroom door closed but still ajar enough that she could listen to their conversation in the living room.
"Here you go," Deanna said handing Vinny a glass of wine.
"I'm surprised you came over to visit with me," she said.
"Why's that?" he asked staring at her ample bosom.
"Because everyone said you were in love with Starlene and that you were broken hearted because she married Stanley," Deanna said taking a seat on the sofa near him.
"There's some truth to that."
"Well is it true or not?"
"I was upset that she married Stanley, yeah."
"Life goes on though," he said.
"Yeah it does."
"So tell me about your job and what you do?" he asked. He thought about Tiffany telling Skeeter how Deanna had pulled up her shirt and showed off her chest when she revealed she was a topless dancer.
"I'm a dancer," Deanna said grinning.
"Oh for goodness sakes. I know Tiffany told you," Deanna said laughing.
"Yeah, she told me you was a topless dancer. I was hoping you'd tell me the same way," he said meekly before taking a loud sip from his wineglass.
"Oh that? Sure," she said jerking up her gown and showing off her bare double D's.
"I see there. I see," Vinny said almost choking on his wine.
Tiffany quietly opened her bedroom door a little more and peeped out into the living room.
